What to do in Rome in two hours

Tips and tricks to visit the Eternal City in just two hours

Rome is known for its beauty but also for being a chaotic city, so the movements require more time than necessary. If you only have 2 hours to make a fleeting visit to the Eternal City, follow these tips.
The first rule is to move in meters because it is the fastest way to get around if you arrive by train guests modern terms.
If you take the subway, in 10 minutes you will be in Piazza di Spagna, with the beautiful Fountain of Four Rivers recently restored: it is one of the most elegant of the city and a little further there is the famous staircase of Trinita dei Monti, with its 135 steps dating from 1725.
At the height of this magnificent staircase there is the church of the same name from which you'll have a glance very impressive. In the summer, the flowers adorn further this city lounge. A story underground wants women who sit on its steps want to send a clear message about only "predisposition" to love.
From the Spanish Steps you can take a walk on the most glamorous of Rome: Via Condotti. Arrived about halfway, turn left and walk along Via del Corso that will take you directly in front of the Altar of the Fatherland, also called "Victorian" in about 15 minutes on foot or less by bus.
You will hit the dazzling white of this monument built by Vittorio Emanuele II, and that the '21 is home to the remains of the Unknown Soldier, guarding of which there are always two soldiers. The monument is located on the slope of the Capitol and on the right side you can also visit the town hall Capitoline and the Basilica of Santa Maria in Ara Coeli.
On the left opens the most charming street of Rome with a view of the Roman Forum that will take you back to the past glories of the eternal city: everywhere you turn around you will see something old and it is not difficult to imagine the life of the ancient Romans.
About 500 mt. further is the symbol of Rome and that is the Coliseum, impressive and always full of charm: here you should linger to visit from the inside, because there is just across the metro that will take you back to the starting point.
If you are 20 minutes, take a taxi and went to Santa Sabina visiting the ancient Basilica and the square of the Knights of Malta: there is a small row peeking from a keyhole; Test yourself and see the Basilica of St. Peter the Aventine.
